Nordeus was last night crowned as The Best Gaming Startup at the Europas Awards 2011, held in London’s West End. The Europas, which are voted for by tech industry experts, cap a fantastic year for Nordeus and our flagship game Top Eleven, which this summer became the most played sports game on Web after overtaking EA SPORTS FIFA Superstars.

Top Eleven now has nearly 1 million daily users, which log on every day to play. We were delighted to be selected for this prestigious award! It is a proof that hard-work and creativity can lead to success, no matter the economic climate. We couldn’t have done this without our amazing team in Serbia and it is fantastic for our team to represent the region in this  remarkable showcase for European tech businesses.

Awards chairman and TechCruch Europe editor Mike Butcher praised the talent and success of the Nordeus team: “Banging it from Belgrade! Yet another example of how you can make it global from Europe.”
Twenty-two awards were given away in all at the ceremony, which sought to reward the best of Europe’s tech companies. The event also saw Mixcloud win best Entertainment startup, Accel voted VC of the year and Rovio winning a special Europa “Hero award for kicking ass around the world” for their hit app Angry Birds.  A full list of winners can be found here.

Thank you dear friends and fans for the support! 🙂
