We’ve recently expanded our portfolio with a new title - Top Goal. Now we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team!
THE DIFFERENCE YOU’LL MAKE:
As a Senior Backend Engineer on Top Goal, you’ll be at the heart of launching a game globally. Your work will directly shape the player experience - from creating scalable backend systems that keep gameplay smooth and real-time, to developing the core features that bring the world of Top Goal to life.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Diving hands-on into all aspects of back-end game development, such as distributed programming, application scaling, deployment, and game logic
- Design, architect, and implement game features in Java using Spring Boot deployed on GCP
- Implement features with Domain Driven Design approach
- Write high-quality/performance back-end code
- Collaborate with game designers and artists to create new in-game features
- Proactively identify production bottlenecks and help formulate solutions
- Have an opportunity to influence and impact game features that will end up in production
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:
- You’ll work closely with a team of experienced backend and client engineers to build and scale the systems behind Top Goal
- You’ll also collaborate with game designers to implement new features, and with product and analytics teams to ensure what we build meets both player needs and business goals
WE ARE A MATCH, IF YOU:
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with server application development
- Have experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including, but not limited to Java, C#, C/C++, PHP, JavaScript
- Have a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Are genuinely passionate for games, not just software development

- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with Domain Driven Design
